Barry recieved his first guitar at age 11 and after showing good potential was asked to join a band at age 12.
He continued his education & obtained a Civil Engineering Degree; then, after 2 years National Service, worked as a Civil Engineer for 25 years.
During most of this time he continued learning & playing guitar, and performing as a semi-professional guitarist in two bands, The Eldamos, and later, Accent. See photo gallery below.
He then commenced his career as a professional music teacher and solo guitarist.
